Hammersmith pubs, London walks & entertainment in West London

Feb 24th 2010

Throughout Hammersmith, Amersham and Stockley Park, there’s no shortage of things to see and do at lunch or after work, all located conveniently near our London meeting rooms.

There are a number of attractions in Hammersmith itself, including three well-known theatres: Riverside Studios, the former BBC studios which now houses a cinema, theatre, a bar and café; The Lyric Hammersmith Theatre; and the famous Hammersmith Apollo, a large concert hall and theatre.

Heading west along the river, there are a number of fantastic Hammersmith pubs, as well as a scenic river path, perfect for stretching the legs while having a break. The Dove, one of the oldest surviving riverside pubs in London, is located by Hammersmith Bridge, while further upstream are the Blue Anchor and the Old Ship, all of which serve food ideal for those summer working lunches.

Amersham – an historic market town home to one of our London meeting venues – has a number of historic and picturesque pubs. There are also numerous restaurants in the surrounding area including Gilbey’s in Old Amersham, which is housed in the former grammar school and offers garden dining, and The Artichoke which offers contemporary French food in a 16th Century venue.
