In a constantly changing business environment, talks, workshops and similar activities are essential for business leaders to stay ahead of the curve. As the capital is the centre of UK business, London business events are usually the best. Here are a few of our favorites that are coming up in April and May.
The London Business Forum is putting on a series of talks in April and May, with some top speakers. These will cover a range of topics, including marketing, motivation and creativity.
The 25th Business StartUp event will be taking place this May. Despite the name, this conference is useful for existing business owners looking to expand their operations, as well as those looking to start a company. Lots of experts, with specialities in various aspects of business startup and expansion, will be running hundreds of seminars, workshops and advisory sessions (including one to one). Subjects vary from finance and planning, to web design and marketing, to name but a few. If that wasn’t enough for you, it is also a fantastic opportunity to do some networking.
This is a huge event taking place at the London ExCel centre over two days, May 19th and 20th 2011. Tickets are free and can be booked now on the website.
BIG Conference: Evolution or Revolution? provides insights on research and marketing for companies involved in business-to-business activities. This is ideal for anyone who deals with this industry, whether directly or indirectly, as an agency consultant or industry analyst, as it’s a good way to meet other people in a similar line of work. The conference is highly participatory and is based around discussion and debate. Topics will cover many new challenges and developments in the industry, including the role of social media.
BIG Conference will take place from May 11th-13th at The Belfry. Tickets vary from about £500 to £1,000, depending on the number of days which you wish to attend.
Lastly, for anyone interested in studying an EMBA or EMBA-Global, The London Business School is hosting a series of free drop-in sessions. Anyone who attends will be able ask questions about the course, see the campus and meet other people who are interested in studying for an EMBA. Session will run from 4:00pm to 5:00pm, starting at the Sainsbury Building Reception, on the London campus. This can be found near the stunning Regent’s Park, right in the centre of London, and conveniently near London Conference Rooms at Cavendish Square. They are available on the 15th April, the 13th May and the 27th May, with more dates in June and early July.
