London 2012 Olympics News & Views

One of the most exciting business, industrial and cultural developments in London’s recent history is currently underway at key locations around the capital, as the London 2012 Olympics begins to take shape.

Announced amid much fanfare and anticipation in 2005, the Olympics is one of the biggest sporting events in the world and London is due to provide it with a grand stage. Walking around the city today, the extent of the construction is evident, especially in the East End. One of the biggest construction projects is the London 2012 Olympic Stadium:

With an office address in London‘s West End, Olympic events scheduled to take place in Hyde Park will only be a short walk away. The park is scheduled to be the picturesque location for some of the most gruelling Olympic events including the triathlon and 10k swim, which are sure to attract large crowds. Elsewhere in West London, close to our office address in Hammersmith, the Earls Court centre will play host to the London 2012 Olympic volleyball tournaments.

Construction of the Olympic Village is now well underway, with modern buildings for athletes and officials being built near Stratford, all within walking distance of key venues in the Olympic Park and landmarks in the centre of the City. Other venues in London scheduled to host events include the ExCeL, Greenwich Park, Horse Guards Parade, Lords Cricket Ground, Wembley Arena, Wimbledon and many more yet to be constructed.
